Dar Tiflet Guesthouse
Former family home of the neighborhood’s Berber grocers, Dar Tiflet has a name with Alpine overtones (we’re from Grenoble and we love the simplicity and friendliness of tartiflette) to invite you to an authentic, warm experience and to help you embrace your new life here.
Dar Tiflet is a riad made up of a registered guesthouse with 5 rooms and a closed patio, as well as a private section with 3 rooms, an open patio, and a garden.
Rooms
Each room has remained traditional, with the main decorations reflecting the Berber family heritage, especially in the choice of zelliges (cement tiles) on the floors and walls. We have added a small bathroom (shower + toilet) to each room. Like all riads, every room has at least one window, small or larger, opening onto the interior patio. One room (the yellow room) has two windows opening onto the exterior façade. All the furniture was handcrafted in the medina by local artisans, as well as the wool rugs and bedspreads.
Services & Experiences
Riad Dar Tiflet offers the kind of services you’d expect from a welcoming family home: we can arrange your transfer from the airport or train station, breakfast is optional and flexible, and there is always someone available to assist you. We can store your luggage while you go on excursions, and you’re even welcome to do your laundry – just like at home.
We provide up-to-date advice on trusted partners for excursions, car rentals, and more. Marc and Patrice have had a love for Morocco for 20 years, especially the South, while Yassine and Mohamed know the best places in the medina by heart – and at the best prices. This advice is complemented by useful information available on our free Wi-Fi network.
Dar Tiflet no longer offers meals, as we are fortunate to be located in a neighborhood with many options, from snack bars to semi-gourmet restaurants, all within walking distance. We can help you choose by showing you menus and making reservations for you.
Finally, to cool down at the end of the day, we will soon be opening the BarTiflet, offering non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy in the evening.
